Da quando nel 2022 mi sono avvicinato al web3 e ai NFT ho riflettuto su vari progetti che avrei voluto realizzare, di questi, 3 sono quelli cui voglio dar seguito. Di questi, 2 li porto già avanti da oltre un anno ma il primo con il quale comincio è quello che potete trovare già attivo sulla mia pagina Opensea.

L’ho chiamato “DesizeMe” e il progetto ha l’obiettivo di documentare, con una foto al giorno, il mio processo di perdita di peso a seguito di un intervento di riduzione dello stomaco. L'obiettivo, oltre a quello "artistico" è quello di dare coraggio a chi pensa che raggiunti certi "traguardi" non ci sia più nulla da fare... mentre invece non è così!

L’idea mi è venuta scoprendo in rete progetti NFT di documentazione del tempo che passa, simili ma più superficiali rispetto al mio intento. Si trattava per lo più di persone che si sono fatte una foto al giorno per x mesi o anni, per documentare il tempo che passa. Io invece voglio documentare una trasformazione, un cambiamento che ha richiesto sforzo, dedizione, attenzione ma cui possono aspirare tutti quelli come me, erano in condizioni estreme di sovrappeso.

Since I approached web3 and NFTs in 2022, I have reflected on various projects that I would like to create, of these, 3 are the ones I want to follow up on. Of these, I have already been carrying out 2 of them for over a year but the first one I'm starting with is the one you can find already active on my Opensea page.

I called it “DesizeMe” and the project aims to document, with one photo a day, my weight loss process following stomach reduction surgery. The objective, in addition to the "artistic" one, is to give courage to those who think that once certain "goals" have been reached there is nothing left to do... but this is not the case!

The idea came to me while discovering NFT projects online for documenting the passing of time, similar but more superficial than my intent. These were mostly people who took a photo of themselves every day for x months or years, to document the passing of time. I, on the other hand, want to document a transformation, a change that required effort, dedication, attention but which all those like me, who were in extreme conditions of overweight, can aspire to.

Il progetto DesizeMe” va dal 1 gennaio 2023 ma non finirà quando avrò raggiunto il peso forma perché continuerà fintanto che non avrò raggiunto la forma fisica desiderata… quindi potrebbe non fermarsi mai! No scherzo, mi sono dato un limite di 3 anni per questo progetto al quale seguirà una sua variante più goliardica e artistica.

DesizeMe è composto da immagini 30x30cm che ritraggono mie scatti fatti quasi tutti nella stessa stanza e nella stessa posizione. I primi scatti sono quelli meno riusciti ma anche questo fa parte di un percorso di trasformazione artistica e di crescita, quindi ve li beccate così, imperfetti, che poi a quanto so nel mondo NFT il che vuol dire maggior valore.

Le foto le ho realizzate tutte con una maglia differente per ogni giorno della settimana in modo da creare uno schema e una ritualità, ogni lunedì la medesima maglia e cos’ via per gli altri giorni della settimana. Come per gli scatti non sempre perfetti, anche la questione maglie è una regola che di tanto in tanto ho per necessità non rispettato. Come anche il luogo dello scatto è qualche volta differente dal solito. Anche questo, pare, può essere considerato un valore aggiunto ai singoli NFT.

The DesizeMe project runs from January 1, 2023 but it won't end when I reach my ideal weight because it will continue until I reach my desired physical shape... so it may never stop! No joke, I gave myself a 3 year limit for this project which will be followed by a more fun and artistic variant.

DesizeMe is made up of 30x30cm images that portray my shots, almost all taken in the same room and in the same position. The first shots are the least successful but this too is part of a path of artistic transformation and growth, so you get them like this, imperfect, which then from what I know in the NFT world which means greater value.

I took all the photos with a different shirt for each day of the week in order to create a pattern and a ritual, the same shirt every Monday and so on for the other days of the week. As with the shots that are not always perfect, the question of shirts is also a rule that from time to time I have necessarily not respected. Just as the location of the shot is sometimes different from usual. This too, it seems, can be considered an added value to individual NFTs.

ATTENZIONE: In alcune occasioni ho utilizzato sui miei social foto simili a quelle che troverete nel progetto DesizeMe su Opensea, ma non sono esattamente le foto del progetto. Ho fatto molta attenzione a questo e potete star certi dell’unicità dell’immagine utilizzata nella creazione di tutti gli NFT.

I paid a lot of attention to this and you can be sure of the uniqueness of the image usedin the creation of all NFTs.
